Following is a brief summary of each award:
Franklin B. Walter Scholarship: The Greene ESC in partnership with OESCA (Ohio Educational Service Center Association) provides a $1,000 scholarship to the Greene County student who is selected as the recipient from Greene County for the OESCA Franklin B. Walter Award. This award is presented each school year at a luncheon in Columbus at the OESCA Spring Conference.
Excellence In Education Award: The Greene ESC, in honor of former Superintendent Howard L. Post, hosts the Excellence in Education Awards program each spring. Valedictorians and Salutatorians from each school district in Greene County individually select their "most influential" teacher from their Pre K - 12 school career. This award is presented to each teacher selected in a May program at the Greene ESC each school year.
