BCMH is a potential payer of medical services for children with medical handicaps. BCMH provides diagnosis and treatment services, medical equipment, therapy, and dental examination. A physician must initiate the application to the program, and parents fill out a financial application. This program is a "last resort" payer for services.

Expertise.com researched and developed a pretty comprehensive resource for people living with disabilities.  The guide aims to help make the federal grants available to seniors, veterans, and disabled people much easier to understand and take advantage of, particularly for remodeling homes for accessibility.

For many people, owning and maintaining a home is one of the most significant investments they ever make.  But for individuals and veterans living with disabilities or special needs, or seniors aging in place, the fact that much of the world outside is not built to accommodate their needs magnifies the value of a comfortable home.  It's vital they and their loved ones have access to the best resources about how to make their homes livable and enjoyable.

Help Me Grow serves as Greene County's Centralized Intake and Referral Site for Early Intervention, seeking famlies with children having special needs or developmental delays, or who are at risk for developing delays. Help Me Grow provides home visits, free developmental screenings, service coordination activities, some follow-up and monitoring services, parent training, and Individualized Family Service Plan development. The ABC Parent Coordinator offers one-on-one support, support groups, and a vareity of informational, educational, and social activities.

Shriner's periodically holds screenings in the Dayton area for families interested in using their programs, but families can call anytime. Shriners operate several hospitals around the country, and children from our area usually use the facility near Cincinnati.
