DAY 1: APRIL 29, 2019
9:00 AM-12:00 PM: TRAUMA INFORMED CARE: LEVEL 1 TOXIC STRESS TO SAFE ZONE
12:30 PM-4:30 PM: ONSITE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Participants will identify types of trauma, understand effects on social and emotional development and learn strategies to respond to trauma’s effect on behavior using a trauma informed perspective. In the afternoon, participants will be paired with ECMH consultants to develop resource binders to take back to their early learning environment to support implementation.
DAY 2: APRIL 30, 2019
9:00 AM-12:00 PM: TRAUMA INFORMED CARE: LEVEL 2
BECOMING TRAUMA INFORMED EARLY LEARNING PROFESSIONALS
12:30 PM-4:30 PM: ONSITE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Participants will learn how to create a trauma informed early learning environment, understand how our history impacts our ability to support children and use strategies to promote resiliency in early learning professionals. In the afternoon, participants will be paired with ECMH consultants to create resource binders to develop self-care plans to promote adult resilience.
Participants attending both morning and afternoon leave with:
- 3 Ohio Approved, CSWMFT CPE
- Training Binders
- Resource Binders
- Books to promote resilience
