CARF Accredits Mental Health Services

Accreditation Awarded for Three Years

CARF Accredits Mental Health Services

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International (CARF International) announced that the Greene ESC Mental Health Services, a school-based child and adolescent mental health agency, has been accredited for a period of three years for its Outpatient Treatment, Day Treatment, Crisis Intervention, and Case Management/Service Coordination programs. The latest accreditation is the second consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded The Greene ESC Mental Health Services.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows The Greene ESC Mental Health Services’ substantial commitment to conformance to CARF standards. An organization receiving a 3-year term of accreditation has voluntarily put itself through a rigorous peer review process and demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality.

The Greene ESC Mental Health Services has been providing school-based mental health services to Greene County youth and their families for over 30 years. “We are very proud that our work in helping reduce the suffering in the lives of youth and their families has been recognized and promoted by CARF International,” states Dr. Tim Callahan, Director of the Greene ESC Mental Health Services. “CARF accreditation allows us to continue our efforts toward helping create a community in which children and teens are healthy and thriving in all arenas, including home, school and the community.”
