The Thomas Award

     The Thomas Award is an award of merit and distinction given annually to an ESC employee in recognition of outstanding commitment and service. The award is named in honor of Superintendent, Terry Thomas, who in 1999 became the first
recipient of this honor while he was ESC Assistant Superintendent.

     Any current employee who has been with the ESC for at least 5 years is eligible to receive the award after being nominated by any ESC employee. Nominations may also be enhanced by staff members of any Greene County school district joining with an ESC employee in their nomination packet.

     The window for nominations will be from January 1st to the final day of the regular school year in June of each year.

For 2009, the Greene ESC recognized Kin Strizak, Academy English Teacher as the Thomas Award recipient.
