 ESC Services Scholarship

In 2004, thanks to annual donations from ESC staff members, the ESC Scholarship  and Grant Fund was created. From this fund, the ESC created the ESC Services Scholarship.

Eligibility:  Applicant must be a high school senior from a local, city, or exempted village school within Greene County and have received services from the Greene ESC at some time during their Pre K - 12 school career.

Services include attendance at one of the ESC Alternative School or ED programs, participation in programs such as preschool, gifted, or having received therapy services in: speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, adaptive physical education, mental health, or psychological services.

Eligible students must demonstrate ways in which the ESC has nurtured improvement, and assisted the student in overcoming life's obstacles, outstanding academic achievement as indicated by high school grades, test scores. Other criteria is based upon extra-curricular participation in school and community, teacher letters of support, and the student's future goals.

Applications are distributed in April and completed applications are due back to the Greene ESC Superintendent by May 11th.

2006 - Ian Ferguson - Yellow Springs High School

2007 - Emily Sumner, Academy of Greene County and Xenia HIgh School

2008 - Jordan Cross, Greeneview High School

 

For 2009, the Greene ESC is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to Sheila Riggsby, Xenia Community Schools
