“Triple P: Positive Parenting Program” is being funded by the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund
Yellow Springs, Ohio (October 30, 2017) – Greene County parents whose children (ages birth to 8) are experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, or mental health problems are encouraged to participate in a dynamic, free program being offered by the Greene County Educational Service Center. The “Triple P: Positive Parenting Program” is being used in conjunction with the GCESC’s early childhood mental health program and is being funded by the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund.
The “Triple P Program” provides information to parents about solving common child developmental issues and managing a range of child behavior from minor to challenging. Approximately 600 parents will receive these educational services.
“We are proud to offer a program that strengthens our families by promoting children’s social, emotional, behavioral and mental health development,” said Grace Schoessow, MS – GCESC Early Childhood Mental Health Program Coordinator. “Our program will offer parents an opportunity to strengthen positive parenting skills at no cost as a result of the generous support from the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund.” “Social emotional growth and development is the cornerstone of school readiness,” said Elizabeth Smith, MA – GCESC Family Engagement Consultant.
Parents interested in participating in this free program can contact the Greene County Educational Service Center at 937-767-1303, extension 1177.
